Volvo will market entry-level car to rival VW Golf
Thu, 21 Oct 2010Volvo plans to offer a Volkswagen Golf competitor as part of a plan to expand the automaker's product line. Speaking in London last week, new Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby said the next generation of the entry-level Volvo “will be a derivation of the C30, a Golf competitor,” according to the Web site www.autocar.co.uk. He also said Volvo's brand positioning would shift toward “functionality and Scandinavian elegance” and away from sportiness, according to the Web site.
Mercedes-Benz A-Class interior revealed

The interior design was made public as part of Mercedes' announcement of its new iPhone integrated media system, set to feature within the A-Class. Sadly, we won't get the steroidal hot hatch in the UK as it's not being built in right-hand drive.Why so little innovation? There's a natural lull in the model cycle after a ballistic 2007, and we'll have to wait until later in the year to see another new model, rumoured to be a concept car for a future model line.
