Pannier installation

1,remove the 2 side bolts that hold the rear cargo rack.remove the 2 upper bolts from the passenger footpeg bracket.

2,hold the pannier rack in place and install the 2 bolts that came with the rack ,the longer bolt goes to the rear rack and the shorter to the footpeg bracket, install both sides and the rear cross bar, remember not to tighten any bolts until you have all of them installed, then you can tighten them.you will need a 13 mm socket.

3,hold up your case to the pannier frame, exactly where you want to mount it,and with a black felt pen outline the frame on the back of your case,it helps if you have somebody helping you with this,do both sides.

4,remove the pannier frame from the bike.

5,place your cases face down and put the pannier frame on them where you outlined them with the pen.put the cases side by side so you can see if both sides look about the same.

6,put the brackets in place, mark the holes with a pen,and drill them.

7,bolt on the brackets.12x 6mm bolts and washers with nuts, you will need a 10 mm socket and wrench.

8,place the pannier frames on the back of the cases, slide them inside the brackets, you will have to drill 2 more holes for the T bolts.use a small drill to drill the holes thru the welded nuts, make sure you do not damage the thread inside the nuts, then remove the frame and drill the holes with a bigger drill so the T bolts will fit thru easily.these T bolts will secure your case to the frame from the inside of your case.

9,bolt on the pannier frame and hang the cases on the frame, install the T bolts from the inside of your case, tighten the bolts with your hand ,do not use any tool to tighten these bolts.

UK Car Insurance Company reports buyers downsizing

Sun, 14 Jun 2009

Swinton Insurance claim quote requests for bigger cars are down 20% Swinton say that it has seen an increase of 25% in quote requests for smaller engined cars in the last six months and a decrease of 20% in car insurance quotes for cars over 1.8 litres (which, short of the big-engined cars being scrapped begs the question: What’s happened to the big-engined cars? Did they just disappear, or are they just not being insured?). But this got us thinking.

Suzuki has given their evergreen pocket SUV – the Suzuki Jimny – a facelift for 2013, but prices still start at £11,995. Suzuki has been building the little Jimny SUV – in one form or another – since 1970, and the current Jimny has been with us since 1998. But despite the Jimny being from another age, Suzuki aren’t giving up on it yet and have managed to churn out a facelift for 2013.
