Oh, and Ford introduced the Mustang, an event that would be Lee Iacocca's Second Greatest Shining Moment, behind introducing Chrysler's TC by Maserati as the prettiest Italian to arrive stateside since his mother. The World's Fair was 50 years ago this week, and the Internet remembers what it was like when the Mustang came out.

Toyota recalls another 2.17 million U.S. vehicles

Toyota Motor Corp. said Thursday it will recall 2.17 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the United States to inspect and repair accelerator pedals that may get trapped in floor mats or carpeting. The automaker said more than half of the recalled vehicles--1.54 million units--are being added to a giant 2009 recall to inspect and repair accelerator pedals that may get trapped in floor mats.

Or at least, it wouldn't be the first Sunday after Christmas without it. For the last 55 years, the owners of pre-1916 automobiles have lined up somewhere in the greater Pasadena area and just driven around.
