Complete engine with controls. 150 HP, Carbureted, Oil Injected. Used on 18.5' bass boat.

Last time out (this summer), it wouldn't go in reverse (makes clicking noise). There is about 1/2 inch of axial travel on the output shaft and the propeller has started to gouge into the lower unit housing. So, the lower unit is shot.

Engine also has an intermittent power issue that just started. Occasionally, it will barely get the boat on plane. The next time it will jump up with no problem. I've worked on the carbs myself, but never had it in a shop. I just checked the compression and it has 90 psi on 4 cylinders and 88 psi on the other 2 cylinders. Compression has not changed in the 5 years that I've owned the boat. When it's running right, I can get up to 55 mph.

Local pick up only. I can lift it onto your truck or trailer. Or, if you want, we can hang it right on your boat. I can also start it up for you and check the compression if you like.

Location is Boerne, Texas (25 miles NW of San Antonio).

Paypal or Cash accepted.

Feel free to ask any questions. I'd just ask that you be patient because I don't get email to my cell phone.

Suzuki makes final push in U.S.

Fri, 21 Dec 2012

Corrected: The key for Suzuki to sell more cars in the United States, apparently, is to go out of business. American Suzuki Motor Corp., the bankrupt U.S. distributor, got court permission to bring in 2,500 more cars for the U.S.

The next presidential limousine might look like this

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

A few days ago, the United States Secret Service posted the bid requirements for a new presidential limousine, which is set to debut during the 2017 inauguration of our nation's 45th chief executive. It's hard to believe that the General Motors-built Cadillac dubbed "The Beast" is already due for replacement, but the fleet of presidential limousines is cycled every four or eight years, with bids accepted from any American automaker. We'll spoil the show for you: the odds of a company other than General Motors winning the bid is pretty slim.

Fiat Punto Sporting arrives with revised Punto range

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

The Fiat Punto Sporting (pictured) ash been added to the Punto range The Fiat Punto is a bit of an anonymous Fiat that should probably sell better than it does, but with most of Fiat’s marketing efforts centered on the 500, the Punto just gets overlooked. So Fiat are trying to inject a bit more interest in the Punto by making some teaks to the range, deleting a couple of trim levels and adding a new one – the Punto Sporting. The Fiat Punto Sporting is Fiat’s take on ‘Sporty’ for the Punto with a set of side skirts, a sports suspension setup, ‘Tarmac’ finish on the dash, 16″ alloys, chrome exhaust tip and a gloss black roof.
