New Subaru WRX STI aiming for a new Isle of Man TT lap record

The new Subaru WRX STI (pictured) is heading to the IoM Three years ago rally driver Mark Higgins went off to the Isle of Man with the last generation Subaru WRX STI and set a new record for a car round the TT course. And he’s about to attempt to beat that record in the new WRX STI. The current record round the challenging TT course is 19m 56.7 seconds – at an average speed of 115mph – a truly astonishing pace for a standard road car on a difficult and challenging road course.

Bentley Continental GT Speed (2012) first pictures

For the would-be Bentley Continenal owner who can't bring themselves to stoop to the level of the entry-level V8 model, and feel the standard W12 car is too slow, Bentley has created a new Continental GT Speed. Designed to appeal to more driving-focused Bentley customers, there's a package of mechanical, cosmetic and interior changes to push the Conti into full-on supercar territory. Honda CR-Z Mugen (2011): the first sketches

This is our first glimpse of the new, Mugen-tweaked Honda CR-Z. Developed by Mugen Euro, the UK-based arm of Honda’s long-standing tuning partner Mugen, this CR-Z features a whole raft of tweaks to turn it into a hot hybrid. As with the previous UK-spec Civic Type R Mugen, this new Mugen model is currently being touted as a one-off prototype, but just as that Civic was then built in limited numbers the same may happen with the CR-Z – and the individual parts may become available as aftermarket accessories too.
