Jaguar XE Estate & Coupe “…a very difficult business case”
Mon, 13 Oct 2014It’ll be tough to extend the Jaguar XE Range in to an Estate & Coupe We’ve bangedĀ on for years about Jaguar extending their saloon car range (well, the XJ and XF as that’s all they had until the XE arrived) to coupes and estates, at the very least. We know, for example, that the Jaguar XJ Coupe has been on the drawing board for as long as the current XJ, but Jaguar has failed to build it. Similarly, there have been rumblings about an XF Coupe for years, but that has come to nought too, although Jaguar did finally manage to launch the XF Sportbrake EstateĀ to extend the XF range a little.
Mercedes B55 (2011) - a ballistic V8 B-class
Fri, 31 Dec 2010Mercedes' tuning arm AMG has not yet ventured into sensible B-class territory, but a bunch of Merc trainees in Germany has come up with this: the B55. It's a V8-powered B-class, complete with AMG-spec 383bhp 5.5-litre V8 mounted up front and driving an old W210 E-class rear axle. Sounds like a promising skunkworks special, derived from an old B200 CDI hack that was kicking about the training centre.
Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Concept: first official pictures
Fri, 05 Jan 2007By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 05 January 2007 12:10 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible: the lowdown GM will slide the covers off this Chevy Camaro Convertible at the Detroit Motor Show at the weekend - and this is one concept that'll definitely go into production. Last year's Camaro coupe has already been given the nod for sales in two years' time, and this soft-top will join the stable later in 2009. The size is identical to the coupe, but the - bright chromed - windscreen mounting is slightly different to accommodate the hood.
