Provides comprehensive review of automobile including: Vital Statistics (top speed, acceleration performance, engine vitals, list price, etc…), Behind the Wheel driving impressions, Vehicle Dimensions, Development Milestones, Under the Skin engine and chassis review, Nose to Nose performance comparison to rival vehicles, etc, etc……Vivid Hi-Res photos and graphics makes for great all around reading. 4 panel/4 page sheet unfolds to 9” x 16” overall, suitable for framing. These are not regular manufacturer sales brochures made for the masses, but rather a highly detailed limited production specialized compilation previously only available by subscription. Wed, 22 Sep 2010This new Audi A1 might have a long and convoluted name – it's the A1 1.4 TFSI (136 kW) – but it's not an Audi S1 by another name. While everyone has been expecting a hot version of the A1 to be unveiled at next week's Paris motor show (and this is it), it's not dubbed S1 because there's an even hotter version of the A1 still to come. Meanwhile, this first tuned and tweaked version of the A1 uses the same engine as the VW Polo GTI, Skoda Fabia vRS and Seat Ibiza Cupra.
Mercedes AMG and Cigarette Racing team up for ultra-performance boat
Tue, 16 Feb 2010Two celebrated performance brands--Mercedes AMG and Cigarette Racing--unveiled a custom Cigarette inspired by the SLS AMG (“Better Than the Original?”, AW, Nov. 30, 2009), at the Miami International Boat Show. Though the boat is based on Cigarette's 46' Rider, Cigarette says a clean-sheet approach was used to build the all-new boat.
BASF launches car seat design competition
Fri, 19 Oct 2012BASF has launched 'Sit down. Move.', the first global car seat design competition. The contest asks for designers to submit their ideas for a car concept car seat using BASF materials and will be judged by three renowned industrial and automotive designers: Dave Lyon, former-Executive Director of Interior Design America for GM, industrial designer Konstantin Grcic and former Pininfarina designer Ken Okuyama along with BASF representatives.
