Aston Martin recalls 75 percent of all cars built since 2007
Wed, 05 Feb 2014If you own a left-hand drive Aston Martin -- any left-hand drive Aston Martin -- built since November 2007, listen up: your car has just been recalled. Smug right-hand drive Aston Martin owners can rest easy, unless their car was built after May 2012; those cars are gonna need replacement parts, too. All in all, the recall impacts 17,590 cars, or roughly 75 percent of the automaker's run from the 2008 model year on, according to Reuters.
Fiat 500L
Thu, 02 Feb 2012Fiat has released official images of its new 500L ahead of its Geneva motor show debut. The L – short for large – is a new, five-seat B/C-segment MPV that is set to go on sale late 2012. Despite carrying the 500 moniker, the lower half of the car bears more resemblance to the Panda, thanks to its exaggerated fender surfaces and 'squircular' body mouldings.
Daimler and BYD name new brand Denza
Mon, 26 Mar 2012Mercedes-Benz sources in Germany have confirmed Chinese media reports suggesting that parent company Daimler and Chinese carmaker BYD's new joint venture brand will be called Denza. Created as a Chinese-market-only brand, Denza is planned to support a range of "affordable" electric-powered vehicles, the first of which is set to be unveiled at the Beijing motor show next month. Based on the underpinnings of the first-generation Mercedes-Benz B-class--a car originally designed to accept batteries within its flat floor structure--the first Denza model was developed in China by a team of engineers from both Daimler and BYD Auto.
