Lamborghini SUV confirmed

Wed, 01 Feb 2012

A senior source at Lamborghini's parent company Audi in Ingolstadt, Germany, has confirmed reports suggesting that the Italian supercar maker is close to revealing a dramatically styled and luxuriously equipped SUV/crossover concept that previews its long-touted third model. "I can't comment in detail but the speculation in the press is largely correct," an Audi manager revealed when questioned about reports outlining plans by Lamborghini to gauge public response to a successor to the famed LM002 with a new SUV concept. Set to get its first public airing at the Beijing motor show in late April, the new SUV/crossover will extend the current Lamborghini lineup, joining the successor to today's Gallardo and the recently introduced Aventador in what will at least be a three-strong model lineup from Sant'Agata from 2016 onward.

2012 Honda Civic 2.2-litre i-DTEC with just 110g/km CO2

2012 Honda Civic - cleaner, greener, more powerful & more economical Honda are taking the launch of the new Civic for 2012  properly seriously, and looking to make it a properly good alternative to stuff like the Focus and Golf. That means the 2012 Honda Civic is going to have to handle properly as well as being very well put together. And on that score Honda are promising improved ride and handling for the 2012 Civic (despite a less than cutting-edge suspension at the back) and say it will be more stable and precise. Which all sounds good.

Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 hit by Toyota recall

Sun, 31 Jan 2010

The Peugeot 107 (pictured) and the Citroen C1 are being recalled for faulty accelerators Update: We have heard from Citroen who tell us just 36 C1s in the UK are affected by the sticking accelerator problem. Update 2: We’ve now heard from Peugeot who say 6,000 Peugeot 107s in the UK are affected by the faulty throttle pedal. This last few days have turned out to be a real nightmare for Japanese car makers, with first the Toyota recall for a sticking accelerator and then the Honda Jazz/Fit recall for a faulty electric window switch.
