Factory original service manual set of 2 books as used in the dealership service area.
Well used condition showing cover scuffing and edge wear, especially along the RH side. The pages are generally clean, but show some finger smudges on the RH edges I have patiently worked-out a bit of dog-ear. I rate the set 6 - 6.5 on a 1 - 10 scale, Fair to Good used, but not VG, as I am a tough grader. Hey, not everyone needs bookshelf quality, these are fine for the shop, and priced accordingly. *** NOTE: ALSO INCLUDES the GM Unit Repair Transmission service manual in nice clean condition (Helm's price on this manual is $50) As I compose this ad, I note just this 2 volume set on ebay as high as $139.19, although certainly in better condition. I will price mine lower, as I have just this one left to sell, take advantage. I clean and detail each and every book that I sell, to make it the best that it can be. It’s interesting to get the heads-up on new models ahead of their actual public debut, but that can take away the impact for new cars. Which is just what Vauxhall’s stand at Geneva will suffer.
General Motors salutes Bob Lutz
Tue, 18 May 2010General Motors gave a fitting send-off to now-retired vice chairman Bob Lutz on Tuesday in Detroit. Lutz officially hung it up on April 30 after more than five decades in the auto business. He was most recently an adviser and served an extended stint as GM's product boss.
Jaguar F-Type lands in the lap of the 2013 Playboy Playmate of the Year
Mon, 13 May 2013It does seem like Jaguar have decided that association of the F-Type with high-profile public faces is a good way to get the F-Type a few headlines, so we’ve had Lana del Rey singing her heart out in the F-Type cause, Damian Lewis acting his socks off for the F-Type’s Desire film and a plethora of faces associated with Jaguar’s Mille Miglia outing this year, where they’ve managed to get the F-Type front and centre and firmly bolted on to Jaguar’s Heritage outing. Now it’s the turn of Raquel Pomplun to raise the profile of the new F-Type a little higher, as Hugh Hefner has gifted her $100k and the use of an F-Type for a year as part of her prize for being crowned Playmate of the Year. Ms Pomplun may have preferred the F-Type as an outright gift – rather than a year long lease – but at least she’ll have the chance to parade round sunny California with the top down for 12 months.
