You are bidding on 2 Vintage 12 Volt 10 AMP Automotive Circuit Breakers from the Early 1980s "10 A SOS". I bought them both at the same time, one for use and the other as a spare. I believe that only one was ever used, and the other remained on hand as a spare. These are Being "SOLD AS IS".

These were most likely purchased in 1980 for use with an aftermarket throttle set up with clip-ons, to function with the aftermarket "Kill Switch" for a Formula II Roadracing Motorcycle. The "Kill Switch" functioned to Instantly "Short Out" the Bike's Electrical System; by Tripping the Circuit Breaker. The Circuit Breaker could then be Reset by Switching the Ignition Off, and then Back On. This Setup Worked Well, and Passed ALL Tech Inspections at AMA and WERA Events.

The Circuit Breaker readily replaced the Glass Type Fuse; snapping into the standard clips on the Fuse Block. Due to its Height, the Cover required modification.

Approximate Measurements (may vary slightly between the 2 Fuses):

  • Overall Black Block Length: 1.26" or 32mm
  • Inside Black Block Length: 1.20" or 30.6mm
  • Black Block Width: 0.51" or 12.9mm
  • Black Block Height: 0.49" or 12.6mm
  • Overall Height: 0.85" or 21.6mm
  • Top Copper Width: 0.25" or 6.4mm
  • Bottom Copper Width: 0.36" or 9.2mm

Nissan Extrem: It’s a Micra Urban Crossover

Tue, 23 Oct 2012

The Nissan Extrem Concept has been revealed in Brazil as an urban crossover based on the Micra platform. The Extrem is, say Nissan, an ‘Urban Rally Car’ designed to be a tough street fighter and penned by Nissan Design in San Diego specifically for the Brazilian market. Based on the underpinnings of the Micra, the Extrem is 3850mm long and 1760mm wide and is, although it’s hard to judge in the photos, a chunk smaller than the Nissan’s current smallest crossover, the Juke.

Ford Focus ECOnetic

Tue, 28 Aug 2007

By Ben Barry Motoring Issues 28 August 2007 04:52 Car manufacturers will be tripping over themselves to look leaner and greener at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Today Ford throws its hat into the ring with the Focus ECOnetic. Usually when a car manufacturer announces lowered suspension and an aerodynamics kit for its medium-sized hatchback, it goes hand-in-hand with extra power and a GTi badge.

Jaguar crossover concept (2013) the first teaser shot

Mon, 02 Sep 2013

What looks like a screen grab from Sin City is in fact our first official glimpse of the new Jaguar crossover. The jacked-up, coupe-like CX-17 is one of two new models on the way from Gaydon, the other being the ‘X760’-codenamed 3-series rivalling sports saloon. Argh, not another teaser picture… We don’t like them any more than you do, but in this case we’ll allow the Jaguar through the net.
