Fri, 23 Apr 2010

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 23 April 2010 15:04 BMW today showed off the Concept Gran Coupé show car at the 2010 Beijing auto show. It's a near-production version of 2007's Concept CS show car and a good nudge at a new type of BMW due in the next couple of years. Yes, a four-door 6-series is coming.Hmm.

Suzuki XA Alpha concept

Mon, 16 Jan 2012

The XA Alpha concept 2012 was unveiled at the New Dehli Auto Expo by Suzuki and its Indian collaborator, Maruti. Although little information has been released, rumors circling the show floor suggest that it is underpinned by the Swift platform. Similar in size to Nissan's Juke, the XA Alpha is pitched at India's youth market, although the show car's suicide doors and highly detailed lamp graphics are unlikely to reach showrooms.

Aston Martin DB9 4WD Plug-in Hybrid revealed by Bosch (video)

Sun, 16 Jun 2013

Bosch has built a plug-in hybrid Aston Martin DB9 We’ve always believed one of the best uses for hybrid powertrains is to provide extra performance on high-end cars, something Bosh has demonstrated by fitting the Aston Martin DB9 with a hybrid setup. The hybrid DB9 hasn’t been built to preview a production hybrid DB9 (although it probably should) but to demonstrate what Bosch can do with an existing car. Aston Martin donated the DB9 to Bosch for the hybrid project, and Bosh has fitted the DB9 with three electric motors – one at each front wheel and one next to the Aston’s V12 – which gives the DB9 something in the region of an extra 250bhp to play with.
