New Jaguar XJ (2010) – Ian Callum speaksTue, 02 Jun 2009Ian Callum reflects on the design of the new Jaguar XJ Ian Callum is Design Director for Jaguar, and the man does have a good pedigree. His career started round the corner from us, at Ford’s Design & Research facility at Dunton. He worked on a number of Ford’s RS projects, before moving on to TWR to join Tom Walkinshaw, and was responsible for the design of the Aston Martin DB7 and the Vanquish. Top Gear Series 20 starts on SundayThu, 20 Jun 2013Top Gear’s back on Sunday Top Gear is back with Series 20, starting this coming Sunday (30th June). On offer for the first episode (more details on Sunday morning) will be the arrival of the new ‘Reasonably Priced Car’ with help from the likes of Warwick Davis, Charles Dance and Joss Stone, a trip to New Zealand to race an America’s Cup Yacht and a hot hatch fight-off between the Renaultsport Clio 200, Peugeot 208 GTI and Ford Fiesta ST. Running over the next few weeks we’ll have a trio of supercars taking to the road in Spain, Taxis taking on Motorsport, Clarkson in the BAC Mono, the SLS AMG Black and AMG ED, Crossovers towing Caravans, a Hovercraft car for negotiating floods, the new Jaguar F-Type, the new Range Rover Sport, Ferrari F12 and much, much more. Problems with your McLaren MP4-12C? Have a ‘McLaren: The Wins’ coffee table bookThu, 20 Oct 2011Ron Dennis apologises to McLaren MP4-12C owners A couple of weeks ago we reported that McLaren was having some teething problems with their new MP4-12C but weren’t, despite reports to the contrary, halting production. The problems seemed to be mainly software related, with issues including warning lights flashing on and battery drainage issues, which seemed to be because the MP4-12C’s electronics didn’t turn off when the car was halted. But it seemed McLaren were working on the issues with the same sort of zeal we’ve come to recognise from their F1 programme, no doubt spurred on by the wrath of Ron Dennis. 2040Parts.com © 2012-2024.
