2004 Yamaha F40 Four stroke with (short) 15" shaft. (F40MSHC). This is a right hand (standard) rotation outboard with tiller handle and pull start . It also has the gas charged tilt assist to raise the engine up and down.
THIS OUTBOARD HAS BEEN IN STORAGE AND NEVER BEEN USED. We purchased it from our local U.S. Coast Guard facility and it was bought new by them for one of their inflatable boats. We picked it up from their shop where it was stored and they explained to us that it was installed on one of their RIBS when new but immediately replaced with an electric start model before ever being used. That was 4 years ago and it has been in our shop since. We kept it to use for ourselves but no longer have the need for it. It was just started and run for the first time last week here at our shop and it ran like new as expected. The engine oil, gear oil, prop and paint is all original. Nothing has been touched or tampered with on this engine. There are a few minor scratches from transport and installation. There is sealant at the four bolt holes from original install on inflatable. The photos are recent and the engine will be shipped to you exactly as shown and safely packed. Shipping price listed is to a freight terminal where you can pick up or to a commercial location with loading dock or forklift within the 48 contiguous USA states. We ship only to commercial locations that have a loading dock or a forklift. If you have neither we will ship to the closest freight terminal to you where you can pick it up.
