Car Design Awards China 2013 contest launches

未来，中国设计 Future car designers in China are again being challenged to meet the needs of the future by entering the CDN competition which is dedicated to identifying the most promising talent. The fourth annual Car Design Awards China is now open, and entries are invited from students of any design discipline who are studying full time at a college in China. They will work to briefs set by the design chiefs of brands including Audi, JAC, Qoros, Volvo Trucks and Volkswagen.

Audi Q3 on the move It was a very long time coming, but Audi managed to deliver up information and photos on the Q3 yesterday ahead of a launch at the Shanghai Motor Show next week. But despite the big photo gallery of the Q3 – more than 30 images and three models – there’s nothing like seeing a car on the move to get a proper idea of what it’s about. Citroen Tubik concept

Citroen has revealed the Tubik,  a large upright MPV concept which draws on the French automaker's previous Tub van from the late 1930s. The surface language of the MPV - the car doubles as both a commercial van and a people carrier - is decidedly more technical than previous Citroen concepts, but it still sports a resolutely rounded aesthetic. Its front face draws heavily on the 1948 Type H van, which was built up through to the 1980s.
