Ecclestone wants to bring the noise
Tue, 18 Mar 2014FORMULA ONE supremo Bernie Ecclestone has vowed to address growing concerns surrounding the sport's lack of an appealing noise. Following Sunday's season-opening Australian Grand Prix, Ron Walker, chairman of the organising company that stages the race, complained to close friend Ecclestone about the lack of sound. The piercing scream of the old V8 engine has gone, and in its place we now have a huskier tone, complete with whistles and whirrs from the 1.6-litre V6 turbo as F1 tries to become greener.
New Discovery Sport Teases Seven-Seat Cabin
Wed, 30 Jul 2014LAND ROVER has dropped the biggest hint yet as to the role its new Discovery Sport model will play in the firm’s line-up, with a cheeky nod to the car’s seating layout. Making the unusual point of drawing attention to its prototype cars with dramatic camouflage, the latest set of graphics to adorn the premium compact SUV show an illustration of a third row of seats. This nod to family-centric buyers should ensure plenty of pre-launch interest, as seven-seat cars in this sector of the market are the exception rather than the norm.
Weird Chevrolet pickup roadster hot rod probably inspired the SSR

(Click here if the ad goes down or if one of the Autoweek editors snaps it up first.) A 1972 Chevrolet pickup truck is scattered in there, somewhere after the bowtie-shaped everything.
