Arabian horse inspires bespoke Rolls Royce Phantom Mirage [w/gallery]

Thu, 29 Mar 2012

Rolls-Royce has created a bespoke Phantom Coupé named Mirage, inspired by the powerful Arabian stallion of the same name that became famous during the 1920s and ‘30s. The one-off car, designed for the United Arab Emirates market, features a matte black exterior with horse's head incorporated into its coachline detail, a motif that continues into the Mugello Red and black interior. There is also silver detailing such as the rope inlay on the front fascia and door capping.

Bentley Arnage replacement to take on Rolls Royce

Sun, 12 Apr 2009

Bentley's replacement for the Arnage in 2010 will go upmarket to compete with the Rolls Royce Phantom Bentley has revealed that after Arnage production finally ends in September it will be a full year before the replacement for the Arnage surfaces. But Bentley say it’s so they can put a clear line under the current Arnage before its replacement arrives late in 2010.

Production of Peugeot iOn and Citroen C-Zero EVs halted

Sat, 11 Aug 2012

Production of the Peugeot iOn and Citroen C-Zero – both the Mitsubishi i-MiEV under the skin – has been halted by Mitsubishi. The Peugeot iOn EV arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show three years ago and the Citroen C-Zero EV arrived a few months later, heralding PSA’s arrival in the EV market with a car based on the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. But the prices were frankly horrible at £33,155, more than four times what you’d have to pay for a Citroen C1 or a Peugeot 107 with the 1.0 litre petrol engine.
