This is the service information manual for the second generation Boxster and Cayman the S models, it is a model introduction. It is basically a description from a technical point of view, how do things work, why was it done that way, what is it based on, etc. It goes into fairly great detail on the then new PDK transmission. Really well done. There are nine chapters, 185 pages, the TOC and the TOC for each chapter are shown below.

There are loads of photos, illustrations, charts and renderings to complement the text, and it does a terrific job describing the cars. At the end of each chapter is a photo of a car, see way down below for one. Also way below are example pages, I picked cooled seats. Original Porsche publication, print date 2/2009, new condition.

New Renault Scenic prices announced for the UK Renault are making big play of how cheap the new Scenic is, saying it costs over £2,000 less than the Ford C-Max, and the new range starts at over £2,000 less than the old model. Which, in these constrained times, is not bad news at all. But the range of Scenic models and options is a little confusing, to say the least.

LATEST UPDATE Mercedes-Benz’s AMG performance car off-shoot has kicked off public road tests of its eagerly awaited new sportscar, which is planned to go on sale in North America in early 2015. Smaller and more affordable than the existing SLS AMG, which the new two door liftback will indirectly replace in the German car maker’s line-up, the new car is planned to compete directly with the Porsche 911, both on price and performance. The coupe model, caught here exiting AMG’s engineering headquarters on the outskirts of Stuttgart in Germany yesterday in the first round of durability testing, will proceed a convertible version of the front-engined, rear-wheel drive sportscar due out in 2016, with an expected price tag of around $100,000 in the US.
