About time the C-class Estate turned up…
It is, and while the new C-class saloon has only been around for six months, it’s so good that the old outgoing estate that's been soldiering on has suddenly been left feeling very long in the tooth. Merc has responded - and today presents the new estate. It’ll be shown in the metal at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show and then go on sale in the UK in summer 2008.

It's tough to imagine the British car scene in North America without the MGB, which remains a popular starter classic and is available in every price range imaginable--and some price ranges that aren't. The iconic MGB was in production from 1962 until 1980, an entire era that saw relatively few changes introduced to the well-proven design. The marque itself was overseen by three corporate parents during those 18 years on the line: BMC, British Motor Holdings and, finally, British Leyland.

Porsche's next generation cars caught on video
There are umpteen people round the world who make a living from camping out in inhospitable terrain in the hope of snapping a new car before the car maker wants the world to know. And they make a decent living from flogging those snaps to car media round the world. So those poor guys must be spitting feathers when they see what one sleepy resident of San Franciscan found lining up on his street when he was awoken by the sound of a Porsche 911 or three outside his bedroom window.
