POWER UP YOUR SPRING PROJECT with a 5.0L Coyote Crate Engine and Controls Pack. The Ford Performance all-aluminum 2015 5.0L Coyote crate engine is a modern 5.0L 32-valve DOHC V-8 that uses advanced features like Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) to deliver 435 horsepower @ 6500 rpm and 400 ft.-lb.+ of torque @ 4250 rpm (with premium fuel). The lightweight aluminum cylinder block features cross-bolted main bearing caps and thick main bearing bulkheads for bottom-end strength, optimized oil drainback and windage control to improve high-rpm performance. For ease of installation, Classic Recreations has packaged the wiring, PCM and installation kit M-6017-504V as a complete package.

The launch Edition of the Alfa Romeo 4C (pictured) will be in action at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. We had the launch – finally – of the production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and now visitors to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July will get the chance to see the 4C in action as it makes its UK ‘Dynamic’ debut. Weighing in at under 1000kg, the 4C is a hugely promising sports car from Alfa, which seems to offer all you want from an Alfa including decent performance from the 1750cc four cylinder turbo from the Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde, which promises 0-62mph in around 4.5 seconds Alfa are actually bringing the Launch Edition of the 4C to Goodwood for visitors to lust over, which gets extra tweaks including a carbon fibre body kit.

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration is investigating Mini Coopers for unexpected loss of power steering. NHTSA has launched an investigation of 2004-model Coopers after receiving 54 consumer complaints and a confidential number of field reports, the administration stated on its Web site. The reports state that it is hard to control the vehicle when the power steering fails.
