1993 Toyota Pickup 22RE motor low miles for parts, truck is still intact, 5 speed
107,000 miles original miles
Motor has consumed some water but has not taken a drop since I added Blue Devil to the radiator last March.
Runs good, up to 37 mpg in summer, a little less than 30 in winter.

The 5 speed transmission always worked great and shifts very smooth.  No problems with the rear end or the way the truck drove.
Genuine Toyota hard plastic bedliner and tailgate liner. You can see and hear the engine run here:  (I guess this link to the engine video only works if I send it to you in an email.  Send me your email and I will send you the link and you can see and hear the engine run)
This auction is for this complete parts truck.  The truck is not currently drivable.  The brakes do not work.  It was a driver up until a month ago when the left rear brake line or cylinder gave out.  The brakes no longer work and is being sold as such with no battery.  If you want or need a battery for some reason I can include one that was purchased this summer for an add'l $50.  Since it was driven up until a month ago, it should be fine to be towed with a towbar, tow dolly, tow truck or flatbed truck.  The truck and frame is very rusty underneath.  The right side door and more is damaged and has been welded shut for 5 years and 22,000 miles.  The frame was not damaged in the cell phone collision but the frame is rusty.

I am selling this truck as a local pickup.
If you want to ship this truck, you will need to make the arrangements and I will try to accommodate.

Fri, 02 Dec 2011

Will we ever see the Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder go in to production? Having geared up for production of Spyker Cars, the uncertainty surrounding ownership and future production has lead to management redundancies at CPP. It all started so well for CPP (Manufacturing, Global Holding et al) when it was announced that Spyker Cars had been bought by CPP.

Land Rover DC100 concept

Wed, 31 Aug 2011

Land Rover's new DC100 concept vehicle is due to make its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show, with the manufacturer also confirming that a new Defender is anticipated for 2015. The DC100 concept will be building upon the existing characteristics of the car and it is hoped that the concept will act as a catalyst for debate concerning the future of Defender models. The design team is headed by Gerry McGovern, Land Rover's director of design, who says, "This isn't a production-ready concept but the beginning of a four-year journey to design a relevant Defender for the 21st century." John Edwards, global brand director at Land Rover, explains that the manufacturer wants to engage with existing customers to finalise the details of the new vehicle as part of their plans to direct the future of the Defender.

McLaren plan to make windscreen wipers obsolete

Sun, 15 Dec 2013

McLaren plan to make windscreen wipers obsolete Much of the ‘clunkiness’ in cars – stuff like wind-up windows and a cranking handle – have been made obsolete in cars as technology arrived to make things work better, but one thing that remains on modern cars from the dawn of the motoring age is the windscreen wiper. Invented by Mary Anderson in 1903 after she realised drivers of the first motor cars were having to lean out of the window in rainy conditions to see where they were going, it became a standard fitting on all cars within a few years. Windscreen wipers have certainly improved over the years as technology has developed, but they’re still basically a strip of rubber moving across the windscreen to clear rain.
