Product Description

22SI

The 22SI is probobly the most common alternator in the heavy duty industry because of it’s rugged affordability. It is also easily rebuilt. You know you have a 22SI when you see the stamp in the rear housing like pic 1. There are several popular mounting configurations, two of which are shown in pic 2. There are also hi amp and low amp versions but they all take the same kit. Nothing plugs into the 2 spades (1/4″ inch) on the side of the alternator. You can cover that with silicone or re install the plastic cover if you wish. Some vehicles will use the #10-24 terminal posts on the back of the alternator, many trucks will not need them.

Kit includes voltage regulator, rectifier ass’y, bearings, brush ass’y, insulators, quick start trio ass’y.

If you made your judgment solely by spending last Saturday at the Mitsubishi Owner's Day at company headquarters in Southern California, you'd think this carmaker was the greatest thing since overhead valves and forced induction.
