All hatches currently sold on the market are fabricated with plastic hinges integrated in the hatch’s frame. This means that if the hatch cover needed replacement it would be necessary to dismount the entire boat frame, a strenuous if not impossible task due to the fact that the frame is glued to the boat with particularly strong adhesives. With our patented system, the cover of the hatch can be dismounted and replaced simply by removing 3 screws, even if only for purely aesthetic reasons. Another revolutionary system allows for the cover to be completely removed from its housing/frame at an opening angle that spans between 5° and 75°. This solution is particularly appealing to manufacturers and end users of boats that have the driving/steering console very close to the driver’s seat. With this configuration it can be troublesome to open the hatch during navigation since the driver himself is obstructing the hatch door opening. Looking like a super-version of the Zonda F (although with only 10% of the same components) the 7.3 litre AMG engined track car produces a huge 750 bhp, with a 0-60 of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 250mph. A complete new carbon fibre monocoque, carbon fibre intakes, a 6-speed sequential ‘box and an F1-style exhaust make this the meanest Zonda to hit the road (or the track, in this case).
Aston Martin revives Vanquish name for DBS replacement
Tue, 19 Jun 2012Aston Martin is reviving the Vanquish name for the replacement of the DBS coupe, which will feature a full carbon-fiber body, a 565-hp V12 and a mass of engineering revisions in an effort to eclipse Ferrari's F12 Berlinetta. The Vanquish name goes back to the beefy, old-school model of 2001. Aston hopes that magic will rub off on its next flagship, a heavily revised version of the DBS made famous by its appearance in the Bond movie Casino Royale.
