Fiat 500 by Zagato
Mon, 21 Mar 2011Fiat's little 500 has been around for a while now, but thanks to Zagato the diminutive city car has received a new persona. The 500 has gained a more coupe-esque silhouette, with everything North of the beltline being new. The 500 Zagato Coupe acquires the trademark ‘double hump' roofline, as well as an evolution of the ‘cross over' C-pillar.
Bentley Continental GTC V8 Convertible at Geneva
Mon, 05 Mar 2012Bentley Continental GTC V8 - Geneva debut The convertible version of the V8-engined Continental GT has arrived in Geneva as the Bentley Continental GTC V8. The Detroit Motor Show at the end of last year saw the arrival of the Bentley Continental GT V8, but the Geneva Motor Show this week is the venue for its drop-top sibling with the debut of the Bentley Continental GTC V8, a car we spied as long ago as last summer. With the same 4.0 litre V8 the GT V8 gets, the new GTC V8 gives little away to its tin-top sibling, with 0-62mph coming up in 4.7 seconds (down 0.1 on the coupe) and top speed hitting 187mph (188mph for the coupe).
Audi A1 Quattro models ‘on the way’
Wed, 12 Jan 2011Audi has confirmed it is testing four-wheel drive Quattro versions of the A1 – indicating an imminent expansion of Audi’s supermini range. Although showcased as this one-off at a Quattro publicity event in Montreal, Canada, to celebrate 30 years of the all-corner drive system, Ingolstadt acknowledged at last autumn’s 2010 Paris motor show that Quattro versions of the A1 were in the pipeline. The production A1 Quattro will use the Haldex differential to split drive to both axles; it’s a similar technology to that found in A3 and TT Quattros, as opposed to the mechanical Torsen diff found in larger Quattro models.
