Diesel rocket passes 300mph in record bid

The sleek racer – powered by twin diesel engines each producing 750bhp – touched 308.252mph yesterday (Thursday 17 August). That smashes the current diesel car world record of 235.756mph, set in 1973.

Audi Q5 facelift Audi has officially revealed the facelift for the Q5 at the Beijing Motor Show. Minor cosmetic tweaks and engine revisions.  We revealed the 2012 facelift for the Audi Q5 at the weekend, although Audi hadn’t actually got round to doing it themselves. THE “near future” of Audi design and powertrain engineering has been unveiled ahead of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The Allroad Shooting Brake show car will premiere an exciting new high-powered petrol-electric plug-in hybrid drivetrain and a development of the firm’s current design language. It is expected that the Allroad Shooting Brake will form the basis for future Q-badged models as well as a potentially expended Allroad range.
