3951529 SBC 400 CI Nodular Iron Crankshaft Flexplate & Balancer Factory Grind.


Virgin, unmolested OEM/GM 400 cu. in. Gen I Chevy small block standard grind crankshaft including factory matched externally balanced flexplate and harmonic balancer. Cast date L 21 7 (December 21, 1977 for 1978 model year applications). Last of the long stroke, thumper Gen I small block engine/crankshaft design. Factory grind on rods and mains with normal wear. Crank snout drilled and taped for balancer. Flywheel/flexplate threads in good condition and OEM bolts/lockwashers included with this assembly. Ring gear in serviceable condition. Assembly removed from a running engine with oil pressure within acceptable limits. Balancer needs sleeved. Will ship in two separate packages. Look the pictures over, what you see is what you get.

Volkswagen T-ROC SUV Concept (pictured) heading for Geneva Volkswagen are aiming to expand their lineup of SUVs from the current Tiguan and Touareg to include more options in size and ability to tap in to the growing compact SUV market, and having already previewed the Up!-based Taigun we now get a new VW compact SUV concept aiming to fit in between the Taigun and Tiguan – the Volkswagen T-ROC SUV Concept. Heading for a debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week – and revealed today in a series of design sketches (above) – the T-Roc is a two-door, four-wheel-drive compact SUV with a two-pieced Targa roof. In terms of styling, the T-Toc gets VW’s idea of and evolution of its, rather bland, SUV styling with a new grill providing a more original front end (which has echoes of the Nissan Juke but can be referenced by the Karmann Ghia), a coupe look and that removable Targa roof.

Ford streamlines design process with latest 3D technologies

Ford has released details of its use of new digital technologies in streamlining its design process. Designers use what they call the 3D CAVE – Computer Automated Virtual Environment – to recreate a car's interior by projecting images onto the large white walls and roof. 3D polarizing glasses framed with motion sensors are used to transport them into the car's virtual interior.
