BMW rolls out 2014 2-series, 2015 M3 sedan and 2015 M4 coupe at the Detroit auto show

BMW had a number of debuts at the Detroit auto show this year -- we got our first (official) looks at the 2014 2 Series coupe, 2015 M3 sedan and the 2014 M4 coupe on the show floor. The electric i3 city car and its plug-in hybrid i8 supercar cousin were there as well, along with a massaged 2014 BMW Z4 convertible. 2014 Subaru WRX and STI pricing released

The Subaru WRX and WRX STI are now in their final model year before they're replaced by an all-new version, and Subaru has just released prices for the 2014 model year. Both cars get a $200 bump for 2014, and destination charges rise, too. The 265-hp 2014 WRX will now start at $26,790 and will be keeping its 2.5-liter turbocharged and intercooled four-cylinder boxer engine and five-speed manual transmission.

Fisker to buy former GM Solstice/Sky plant in Delaware for $18 million

The old General Motors plant in Delaware that until July cranked out sports cars for Pontiac, Saturn and Opel will be sold and retooled to build plug-in hybrids with UAW workers. Fisker Automotive said Tuesday that it will buy the plant, located in Wilmington, Del., from Motors Liquidation Co.--the old General Motors Corp.--for $18 million. If Fisker's plans come to fruition, production at the plant could start in late 2012.
