This style antenna is found on many 50's American Cars including GM, GMC, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick & Oldsmobile
Useful when there is not enough clearance below the fender for a fully retractable antenna. Only needs 1 3/4 inch.
  • Chrome base with stout black spacer and base gasket (base gasket is 1.5 inches in diameter).
  • This antenna features a three section stainless antenna mast, 16 inches when retracted, 38 inches fully extended.
  • Requires a minimum .83 inch hole in the fender (max hole is 1 inch).
  • 48 inches of coax with Motorola connector (fits 99% of radios). 
  • Base of mast has adjustable tilt so the antenna can be mounted in most positions from a flat fender top to a sloped fender with slight curve (adjustable slope up to 35 degrees).
  • The antenna can also be adjusted for a "swept back" look.

Are BMW & Hyundai talking engines? Reports are rife that BMW and Hyundai are in talks about co-operation on development of a new range of engines. The German press kicked it off yesterday and now Reuters have got in on the act with their own sources apparently confirming talks between BMW and Hyundai over the joint development of a new range of engines.

Smart will unveil its new Forvision concept car at the 2011 Frankfurt motor as the manufacturer continues its preview its future design direction. In the last 12 months the company has revealed its Forspeed and eScooter concepts, with the latest addition designed to keep to the original ForTwo's green specifications. The Forvision uses the latest Smart electric drive system, which Daimler claims will add approximately 20 percent to the range of the current electric Smart, with an EV range of around 110 miles. The vehicle's paintwork and glass can reflect heat – on a hot day it can apparently cool the interior by around 20° C. The concept also has a glass roof, with Daimler is in the process of developing transparent solar charging technology.

Vauxhall has released details of the engines for the new Astra Vauxhall released a fair bit of information on the Insignia inspired new Astra back in May. That was followed up with video of the new Astra blatting round Millbrook and details of the new Astra’s interior. But with the official launch of the Astra at Frankfurt looming, Vauxhall has now released details of the engine range for the new car.
