The 509 Evolution helmet series, came about by request of our customers. Several years ago we asked our fans & customers, what new products would you like to see from 509. Perhaps of no surprise, helmets were the #1 request. Ever since that day, we set out to bring a snowmobile graphics themed helmet into the market at an affordable price. Aside from safety, which is our number one focus, we wanted a helmet that fit our 509 goggles to perfection. The 509 Evolution helmet & Sinister goggle combo fit with perfect precision. Combining the goggle's oversized foam & large rubber nosemask, with the helmets wind guard, you will be protected from the harsh wind & snow like never before.

To make our own 509 helmet line a reality we teamed up with a world leader in helmet manufacturing. Joining forces with this company has allowed us to produce an extremely high quality helmet that conforms to the most important safety standards. All 509 helmets are DOT, AS, and ECE safety approved. With 35 years helmet manufacturing experience they produce 509 helmets with utmost quality in mind. Mercedes introduces illuminated three-pointed star [w/video]

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

Illuminated badges and emblems on cars aren't a new idea – those old enough to remember will recall the warm glow of the old Wolseley grille emblems – but in recent history they have been the reserve of concept cars and the aftermarket. Mercedes is set to restart the trend however as it begins to offer an LED-illuminated star as a dealer-fit option on the E–, GL–, M– and CLS–Class. We've started to see lighting spill out onto the exterior of concept cars for a while and this move is sure to have other OEMs and aftermarket firms alike following Mercedes' lead.

Jets land on Rodeo Drive

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Tail fins will be all over Rodeo Drive on Father's Day, June 16. The Rodeo Drive Committee has chosen “The Jet Age” as its theme for this year's street-closing concours, with tail-finned cars of the '50s and '60s lined up on the 300 block of the famous street. And to top it off, and perhaps because they made a nice contribution, parked on the 200 block will be a mock-up of the new Lear 85 business jet in all its carbon-fiber glory -- with the tail fin but minus the wings.

New Land Rover Freelander will actually be a Discovery

Wed, 22 May 2013

It seems – as we expected – that Land Rover are looking to make more sense of their range of off-roaders as new models are launched, and are going to concentrate on three core brands – Range Rover, Discovery and Defender – instead of the current mish-mash where many models really overlap with others (the top end Discoverys are really a cheaper Range Rover). So the next Freelander will become an entry-level Discovery with underpinnings borrowed from the Evoque (which is itself based on the current Freelander platform, a development of the Ford Galaxy’s platform), and arrive in both 5-seat and 7-seat guise, with the new Discovery ’5′ getting a platform based on the new Range Rover and perhaps spawning two models. The new Discovery range will be targeted as a ‘Lifestyle’ core range for Land Rover (much as the original Disco was) and the Range Rover range will be both sporty and luxurious, with a 7-seat Grand Evoque XL joining the current Evoque, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover.
