Government checks Ford sedans for gas pedals trapped by floor mats

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is looking into reports of accelerator pedals being trapped by floor mats in the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans. NHTSA says its probe covers about 249,000 cars from the 2010 model year. There have been three complaints about pedals being trapped by all-weather floor mats.

VW Golf wins 2013 European Car of the Year

Volkswagen's Golf is the 2013 Car of the Year. Fiat is poised to reveal an all-new Panda, the third generation of the successful city car that has been a mainstay in the company's lineup or the last 31 years. The new Panda is an evolutionary design that Fiat claims has ‘reached full maturity'. By drawing inspiration from the most up-to-date trends, the design team has softened the overall look of the car, which measures in a 3650mm in length, 1640mm wide and 1550mm high.
