                 Manufacturer:  Professional Products

Description:

The Power+Plus HPR (High Performance Racing) aluminum intake manifold is the best performing manifold of this type that you can buy, regardless of cost. Yet the Power+Plus manifold is one of the least expensive manifolds of this type on the market.

The Power+Plus Hurricane Manifold is a single plane 360° design that provides optimum power in the mid to upper rpm ranges. Use with any standard square bore performance carb.

Features include nitrous bosses, dual distributor holddowns, four corner water ports, and more. Kit also includes special water flow divider which can be substituted for a thermostat for racing use.

The Power+Plus Hurricane ports are very specifically positioned to provide an optimum starting point for custom porting. The ports are slightly smaller than Fel-Pro's #1 205 gasket.

Ideal manifold for drag racing or short track use. Use a 1" (short track) or 2" (drag race) carb spacer for optimum results. While this manifold is designed to be port matched for racing, if it is used in a non-racing application no port matching is required. Manifold provides all standard bosses and tapped holes for street accessories. Fits standard port location 23° heads including cast iron Bowtie, Dart Iron Eagle, World, plus most aluminum aftermarket 23° heads.

Features:

  • Single plane 360º design - Provides optimum power from 3500 to 7800 rpm. Dyno tested - outperforms Chevy Bowtie, Weiand Team G and Edelbrock Victor Jr. manifold.

  • Nitrous Bosses - Bosses optimally positioned for maximum power.

  • Ideal Port Position - Allows custom porting for maximum power.

  • Five Water Outlet Ports - Five 1/2"-14 NPT ports.

  • Dual Distributor Holddown Provision - Standard.
Water Divider Insert - For racing applications without a thermostat, just drop in our supplied water divider insert. (Also available separately.)

Peugeot Quartz Concept is a 494bhp Hybrid SUV – debuts at Paris Motor Show

    Thu, 18 Sep 2014

The Peugeot Quartz Concept is a 494bhp Hybrid SUV - The Peugeot Quartz Concept is a concept from Peugeot heading for the Paris Motor Show next month, and it uses a hybrid setup to offer the potential of huge performance from a pair of electric motors and the 270 PS 1.6 litre petrol engine from the RCZ R. Before you get too excited, it seems unlikely the QuartZ Concept is heading for production with its very concept-y look with scissor doors, pop-out steps for access and no B-Pillar, but it does show what could be done if Peugeot is brave enough and it does show the performance potential of the hybrid platform. The hybrid platform consists of the 1.6 litre THP 270 engine from the RCZ R – good for 266bhp – and an electric motor on each axle.

EVs are back in Revenge of the Electric Car

    Wed, 28 Sep 2011

Revenge of the Electric Car, by writer/director Chris Paine, follows General Motors' Bob Lutz, Nissan's Carlos Ghosn, Tesla's Elon Musk and backyard inventor Greg "Gadget" Abbott from 2007 to 2010, when their respective companies were getting in (or returning) to the electric-car game. Paine also wrote and directed the contentious 2006 documentary Who Killed the Electric Car? That film followed the GM EV1 electric vehicle from buyer's hands to the junkyard when the company controversially collected and destroyed them all.

Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept arrives at Pebble Beach

    Sat, 17 Aug 2013

Victoer Muller has deliver the Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept (pictured) at Pebble Beach You have to admire Victor Muller’s tenacity, and you have to admire the way he’s sketched the B6 Venator out on the back of a fag packet and got the car world salivating over a car that’s really just a set of pretty clothes. Because glorious though the B6 Venator is – and Victor has managed to rub out the roof on the back of his fag packet in a very convincing way to deliver the Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept – it must be someone else’s car to start with. There is no way Spyker has the money – despite Victor’s Gold Medal in investment  garnering – or has had the time to develop the B6 Ventaor from scratch, so he’s using something else under the very pretty skin he’s created for the Venator.
