Up for bids is a pair of 1954-1955 Buick Rear License Plate lights and OEM wiring harnesses.  These mount in the rear bumper guards on Special/Century and Roadmaster/Super models.  Both housings are in great shape- no rust out or rot.  The chrome bezels are in great shape and lenses/diffusers are in good shape as well.  I reinforced the wiring harnesses with black electrical tape in areas where the original sheathing had gotten brittle.  This tape job was done right and presentable and sealed on either end to prevent it peeling back, as shown in detail photos.  The rubber elbow leading into the sockets, from the outside, have been built back up and reinforced with a hardened caulk as well.  The original wiring harnesses are hard to find in any condition and these are fully functional, dependable and look good as they are now.

I charge actual shipping costs via USPS Economy, depending on your specific location.
Feel free to ask any questions you might have and thanks for looking!

Lotus, Toyota celebrate engine deal

Fri, 17 Sep 2010

Lotus CEO Dany Bahar presented Toyota president Akio Toyoda with a Lotus Elise this week at the British Embassy in Tokyo, celebrating the companies' long partnership. The Elise was equipped with Toyota's last 2ZZ-GE VVTL-i engine, the same engine found in older versions of the Lotus Elise and Exige. “The presentation of Toyota's last 2ZZ engine in the Elise is a symbolic gesture of our continued respect and deep appreciation for our partner not only acknowledging our past, but also looking forward to our future together,” Bahar said in a statement.

The future is cloudy

Last night before CES opened here in Las Vegas we met the principals of a start-up company called Driver Cloud. They said they had an idea about using the cloud to operate a package delivery service the same way other sites do ride sharing – you'd send out a notice on their network that you needed a package delivered and a bonded, licensed Driver Cloud truck owner would deliver it for you for a fee. The service, called Gofr, would work in conjunction with Driver Cloud's ride sharing component, called Chofr.
