DESCRIPTION: THIS LISTING IS FOR THE REFINISHED/RESTORED PARTS THAT THE TWO BELTS RIDE ON IN A 1960 THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE. THERE IS THE WATER PUMP PULLEY, THE HARMONIC BALANCER (COMPLETELY REBUILT), AND THE LOWER/OTHER (P/S?) PULLEY. THEY ARE ALL POWDERCOATED IN SATIN BLACK (BEFORE THE BALANCER WAS REBUILT, OF COURSE). VERY NICE LOOKING PULLEYS AND BALANCER (DAMPENER). NO CORE CHARGES.
MEASUREMENT INFO: There is no part number to be found anywhere on the water pump pulley. Only an "S" stamped on the outside slanted area. The diameter is a hair above 7 5/16". The offset, as measured from the OUTSIDE of the pulley to the surface its resting on is 3 9/16" (this is the total "height" of the pulley, in actuality). The offset from the INSIDE of the pulley (i.e., the side that mounts to the water pump circular flange) to the surface its resting on (in this case, the wooden pullout to my desk) is 3 3/8". The groove is approx. 7/16" at its widest (i.e., that which the belt rides on). The smaller pulley (for P/S?) is a hair above 6 5/8" in diameter. It has an outside offset of 1 5/16" (i.e., the height).. The inside ("actual") offset is 1 1/8". The harmonic balancer (dampener) diameter is 6 9/16", and the crankshaft mounting hole's diameter in it is approx. 1 7/16".SHIPPING/PACKING: INSURANCE/VALUATION HAS ALREADY BEEN ADDED TO THE ROCK-BOTTOM SHIPPING QUOTE. Honda is recalling more than 180,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a potential vehicle stability assist problem that could cause the system to apply a small amount of brake without any input from the driver. According to Honda, an electrical capacitor on the VSA control unit could have been damaged during the manufacturing process, causing the braking problem.

Before Christmas the CEO of Fiat was reported as saying that he believed that the current malaise in the car market (and any other market, for that matter) would result in the rationalisation of the industry, and see just a handful of big players come out the other side. His words now seem prescient, as it has been announced today that Fiat and Chrysler have effectively entered in to a partnership. Fiat takes a 35% stake in Chrysler
The partnership, with Fiat taking 35% of Chrysler, means a number of benefits for both companies.

CPP, a British specialist automotive group co-owned by Russian businessman Vladimir Antonov, said it will build a modern version of the iconic Jensen Interceptor grand tourer, starting in 2014. Healey Sports Cars Switzerland, which owns the Jensen brand, has appointed CPP to engineer, develop and build the car, CPP said on Tuesday. CPP will build the Interceptor in a new factory on the site of the former Jaguar Browns Lane plant in Coventry, England.
