This is the ideal voltage converter to power your vintage Stewart Warner (and other) 6 Volt gauges in your 12 Volt vehicle.
A fixed resistor is NOT the way to go!  Basic Ohms law tells you that as current draw changes, the voltage to the gauge will change.  Not with this device.
The device is fully adjustable so if your input is 12 Volts or even more, you can adjust the output for a constant 6 Volts.
If the input changes, the output stays constant, where you set it.
This little guy is only 2X1X1/2" so you can hide it anywhere.
It is rated for 2 Amperes so it will power many gauges.
No reserve and lucky high bidder pays actual shipping from 33410.
Thanks and good luck.
