This auction is for two pieces of interior trim for '65 Olds Starfire. These are the headliner side rails. Nice driver quality, with scratches, so will need professional polishing for show. Please look closely at the pictures & check your application carefully! We have the windshield pieces if someone is interested; email to inquire about those. NO RESERVE! We sold our '65 Starfire & have about 200 new & NOS items that we had accumulated & no longer need. If you have specific needs, please let us know. If you purchase multiple items, we will combine shipping when practical. Buyer pays shipping & handling via Parcel Post of $50.00 & via Priority Mail of $60.00 within the continental USA. Payment is due within 3 days of close of auction. Land Rover DC100 concept
Wed, 31 Aug 2011Land Rover's new DC100 concept vehicle is due to make its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show, with the manufacturer also confirming that a new Defender is anticipated for 2015. The DC100 concept will be building upon the existing characteristics of the car and it is hoped that the concept will act as a catalyst for debate concerning the future of Defender models. The design team is headed by Gerry McGovern, Land Rover's director of design, who says, "This isn't a production-ready concept but the beginning of a four-year journey to design a relevant Defender for the 21st century." John Edwards, global brand director at Land Rover, explains that the manufacturer wants to engage with existing customers to finalise the details of the new vehicle as part of their plans to direct the future of the Defender.
Petrol cars twice as likely to fail MOT on emissions
Thu, 07 Nov 2013The latest MOT test data shows that 26.2% of all cars tested fail on excess exhaust emissions – and surprisingly petrol cars fail more than twice as often as diesels in this part of the annual roadworthiness test. According to the official Vehicle Operator and Standard Agency (VOSA) figures, which cover all of 2010 and the first nine months of 2011, 9.7% of petrol cars failed to meet MOT emissions standards compared to just 3.9% of diesels.
