I can ship this pair of nice original cushions to my customers in any country in the world in two (2) separate boxes using Priority Mail International from the United States Postal Service. The eBay shipping calculator makes no provision for shipping more than one box. Please contact me for a shipping quote if you live outside of the USA and are serious about buying these choice original cushions.

I found this pair of excellent original rear seat cushions at a car collector's estate sale in Lewistown Montana this summer. I believe they will fit any 1967-1969 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird hardtop or convertible that does not have the fold down rear seat option. These cushions measure about 48" wide. I thought convertibles generally had narrow rear seats but it appears from other eBay listings I looked at that that may not be the case. I have no idea which years or models this type of upholstery pattern is correct for. I am certainly no expert regarding these cars so please help me out here on the application of these cushions if you possibly can. That way I can upgrade or correct errors in this description.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate these cushions as being a 9 or so. In my opinion, they are way too nice to rip the covers off of and put new covers on. I believe that these cushions belong in a nice original "survivor" car that has damaged rear cushions that someone would like to upgrade with original cushions rather than install reproduction covers.

The most significant problem would be the 1-1/2" or so long crack on the lower right front of the bottom cushion as shown in the 3rd from the last photo of this listing. The second from the last photo shows a very minor factory flaw in the material on the upper left part of the bottom cushion where the original heat seaming process did not work quite right for a 1/2" or so spot. The 5th, 6th and 7th photos show minor problems with the set back rest cushion.

The spring assemblies appear to be dirty from storage in a body shop. I have no air compressor here at this time to blow them off with. The steel springs are not broken anywhere or rusty at all thanks to our relatively dry climate here in this part of Montana. We receive only 12 inches or so of moisture here (including both rain and show) per year. Some parts of this country get more moisture than that in a month.

These cushions are not musty or moldy at all. The water stains on the cloth part of one of them are due to the fact that I washed the black vinyl covering yesterday and a bit of water got on the lower fabric backing.

Some of my friends tell me that I might be sort of nit picky at times on some of my descriptions but on the other hand I am not giving these choice original seats away for nothing either.

I have many friends in the collectible car, truck, tractor, sign and toy hobbies that travel throughout the country. One of them may be able to safely and economically deliver these choice original cushions to you depending on where you live and how soon you want them.

Short of building a wood shipping box which is expensive, the best way to ship these would be to ship each one individually in a cut down bicycle box. I can even tape the two boxes together to save a bit on the shipping cost. The most economical way to ship these would be FedEx Ground. Please contact me to discuss some shipping options before you hit the "Buy It Now" button.

If you have a car that these are correct for and you wish to upgrade you rear seats without buying reproduction springs or covers, you might do well to give some very serious consideration to purchasing this pair of exceptionally nice original seat cushions. Porsche Panamera Hybrid: Official +video

Wed, 16 Feb 2011

The Porsche Panamera S Hybrid – Geneva Debut & on sale June After we had Porsche’s Geneva Motor Show press release last week, we were in no doubt that the elusive ‘Hybrid’ Porsche said they were taking to Geneva would be the Porsche Panamera Hybrid. And so it is. The Panamera Hybrid – officially the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid – is the next stage in Porsche’s quest to game the taxation system, and create powerful and appealing cars that don’t get clobbered by the taxman.

Festival of the Unexceptional: the bad cars we love

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Ever been to a classic car show and noticed how many old MGBs and sports cars of yesteryear have turned up, driven by their proud owners, but wondered what happened to all the more mainstream stuff? There are twice as many Ferrari 308 GTBs on the roads in the UK than Austin Allegros, because the everyday cars of the past fail MOTs, get chucked away and replaced with shiny new hatchbacks. Fortunately, there is a select group of people in the UK who care for the mundane stuff of yesterday and, because of this, a new event for “unexceptional” cars will be taking place this summer.

New car sales surge again

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

NEW CAR sales have risen again in September thanks to rapid growth in demand from private buyers, according to statistics released today. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said that a rise of 16.7% in the private sector helped to drive a ‘super September’ that saw overall sales rise by almost 11% over the same month last year. The new 63 registration plate has helped drive customers to showrooms across the country, with the latest breed of fuel-efficient, smooth and quiet petrol engines selling particularly strongly.
