Here we have a fiberglass factory hood scoop with lights, for the 68 69 70 Mustang Mach 1 Cyclone Gt or Torino Cobra. This piece will last for years (unlike plastic reproductions), and is complete with lights, repro wiring harness, and grill assembly, completing this original piece just as Ford offered it. Also offered are side badges to distinguish your motor size so we have given you a pair of 2 correct pieces for your cars application whether 289, 302, 351, 390, 427, 429, or even 460.

A novel Ford idea has the lights you see at the rear of the scoop illuminating when empowered by connecting them to your existing turn signals harness using the harness included in the auction. We also included a complete mounting hardware kit which should make for an easy install to add that sporty, functional, highly desirable look to your classic Ford preformance vehicle. This original piece has been stripped, then detailed and we find it to be in very nice condition with no visible cracks, or damage of any sort. This scoop was nicer than most and needed very little attention before our detailer added his final finish coat. Everything is intact and ready to be installed as is or with a fresh coat of paint to match your standards. We see no reason why this unit would not please its new owner although most concourse and high end show car owners will probably add extra attention.

Shipping

Shipping is processed when payment is received. We usually ship via UPS. You must specify at auction close, which you prefer or it will be defaulted to UPS. Tracking number can be provided if requested.

Shipment usually takes 3 - 5 days from payment unless delayed. Delays are based on the order in which the payments are processed, complete information, touch ups (if necessary) and any special packaging needs. United States Postal Service carries an additional $25.00 charge for package drop off at nearest station.

It’s a big feather in Ford’s cap and vindication of their ‘One Ford’ global product strategy, which has finally seen Ford realise that the world wants the cars it makes and designs in Europe. Focus sales rose in the US by 40 per cent in 2012 (a market Ford would have declared completely unsuitable for a relatively compact European hatch a decade ago) and China accounted for a massive one in four of all Focus sold, a rise of 51 per cent, making the Focus the best-selling passenger car in China. Not only did the Focus take the best selling car (actually, best selling nameplate), the Ford Fiesta did well to, coming in sixth on Polk’s list with a not insignificant 723,130 registrations around the world.

The super frugal – and super slippery – VW XL1 (pictured) will take on the Goodwood hillclimb Visitors to the Goodwood Festival of Speed can spend endless hours watching a seemingly endless precession of supercars take on the hillclimb. But one supercar this year will be a bit different. Volkswagen are taking their super slippery, super frugal supercar – the VW XL1 SEV – to Goodwood next month and are planning on taking it up the hillclimb in the capable hands of former F1 champion Jacky Ickx.

2013 Mercedes E63 AMG & E63 AMG S Facelift arrives

Ahead of a debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes has revealed the new E63 AMG saloon and Estate and the E63 AMG S. Just as we saw the other day, the 2013 E63 AMG – both saloon and estate – get a bold new treatment, particularly at the front, to differentiate further the AMG from the more prosaic E Class models. The more butch front end gets the new single headlight treatment of the regular E Class, but there’s a central splitter and great big air ducts forming an AMG ‘A’ shape to improve air flow under the car.
