For sale is the speedo gear retainer cover from a 1973 Honda CB500K2.  This will fit the following models:

  • CB500  71 thru 73 (A, K1 and K2)
  • CB750  69 thru 78 (K0 thru K5 76 thru 78) / 75 & 76 F / 76 & 77 A (Hondamatic)
  • CB550  74 thru 78 K / 75 thru 77 F
  • CB450  70 thru 74 (K3 thru K7)

This speedo gear retainer cover is in very good condition.  It is straight and true.  The chrome looks very good with just a small amount of surface rust....which I rubbed off with a wool pad.  The O ring gasket is included.  The frame number of this bike is CB500-2013979 and the motor number is CB500E-2013983.  Please feel free to email at any time if you have questions concerning this item.  I gladly ship worldwide. Dodge Durango Special Service police vehicle released, orders now open

Dodge has added another vehicle to the list of cars drivers should keep an eye out for if they're speeding, the Dodge Durango Special Service. Available for police, fire and “general fleet” customers, the Chrysler Group said it would begin taking orders now, with delivery expected in the second quarter of this year. “We're incredibly excited to add the Dodge Durango Special Service to our lineup of law-enforcement vehicles,” Peter Grady, Chrysler Group vice president of network development and fleet operations, said in a release.

Now the Germans say no to Volvo

As we’ve reported in the last few weeks, Ford has been trying its best to offload Volvo, the last of its ‘Prestige’ Euro marques. The Chinese looked to be the best bet, but it seems that that is going nowhere at the moment (the Chinese are probably waiting for Ford to get in to an even deeper mess with the hope of picking up Volvo for peanuts) and now its seems that Ford’s fire-sale has drawn more blanks. Now the Germans turn down the chance to own Volvo Der Spiegel reports that Daimler (Mercedes-Benz) boss Dieter Zetsche has revealed that Daimler has turned down the chance to buy Volvo, and has also revealed that BMW has had a good look, and reached the same decision.
