Alfa Romeo Giulietta (2010) first official pictures: it's the new 147

Wed, 02 Dec 2009

Alfa has revived an historic badge for its all-new 147 replacement, seen here in these first official pictures issued today. Following a last-minute decision to ditch the name Milano – precipitated by angry Milanese workers irritated at Alfa naming the car after the town despite having shifted operations to Turin – the Golf fighter will be called Giulietta. Using a new platform that will underpin the next Fiat Brava, the Giulietta uses a mix of steel and aluminium clothed in bodywork that borrows cues from the 8C supercar – sort of – including sweptback headlights and a narrow glasshouse.

New Ford Fiesta ST starts production ahead of first deliveries in March

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

Ford has started production of the new Fiesta ST at its plant in Cologne ahead of first customer cars arriving in Ford’s UK showrooms in March. That plan looks like it’s on track as Ford announce the Fiesta ST has now started to roll off the production line in Cologne (and even the first STs coming off the line get Ford’s orange statement paint job).

The Competition Commission believes that too many drivers are footing the bill for unnecessary costs incurred during the claims process following an accident. These costs are initially borne by the insurers of at-fault drivers, but they feed through into increased insurance premiums for all drivers.
