Lamborghini Gallardo (2012) new Spyder and Super Trofeo racer

Lamborghini has pulled the wraps off a facelifted version of the Gallardo Spyder, just a couple of weeks after showing the restyled coupe at the 2012 Paris motor show. We've also been given our first look at the revamped Super Trofeo racer, which gets similar styling tweaks and an improved aero package. First up, the facelifted soft-top Lambo Or, to give the car its full moniker, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder.

New Audi S6, S7, S8 and RS6 to get Bentley V8

The 2012 Audi S8 will get power from a Bentley V8 We reported back in October that Bentley and Audi were working on a new V8 that would power future models from both marques, and we asked if that would mean the end of the W12 in the Bentley. Because although it was claimed that the V8 being developed would be used as an entry-level lump for the Continental GT – a nod to more frugal times – we did think it likely it would be more than that. And now we’re convinced.

Corvette Stingray wins North American Car of the Year

The 2014 Detroit Motor Show has got off to a cracking start for General Motors, with the company winning TWO top North American awards. With the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray scooping the North American Car of the Year award, and the Chevrolet Silverado bringing home the Truck of the Year honour, it’s the first time GM has swept the board since 2007.
