New master rebuild kit, one of our HD torque converters, and a Transgo 700-2&3 shift kit This package is for the 1982-1984 27 spline 700-R4 The rebuild kit contains all Borg-Warner clutches and "Steel plates." Make sure you get a kit with steel plates. The cheaper ones don't have them and you "will" need them. Also included is a Transtec soft parts kit with every rubber seal and gasket that you'll need to complete your rebuild. The kit comes with a new filter, pump bushing and extension housing bushing. This kit also comes with the band. The torque converter that comes in this kit is balanced and pressure tested and has the heavy duty brazed turbine and torrington bearings. This HD converter has a stock stall speed and will be fine for up to 500 hp. (Does not fit 2.8L, 3.1L, 3.4L engines). The 700-2&3 will give your transmission high performance shifts and allow you to add more HP without burning up the transmission. This shift kit allows you to either go with the stage 2 options, or the full manual stage 3. In addition, this kit also corrects all of the same problems that the 700SK-JR kit fixes. Remember to soak all of your clutches in tranny fluid for thirty minutes before you install them. VW New Compact Coupe at Detroit motor show 2010

And although it’s just a show car for now, this gorgeous A5-alike two-door is expected to go into production within the next two years. Under the bonnet is a 148bhp/177lb ft direct-injection and turbocharged 1.4-litre TSI engine, which drives the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG gearbox.

2012 Volkswagen Beetle to launch with Black Turbo edition
Mon, 13 Jun 2011Volkswagen is borrowing a page from sister company Porsche and will turn to the color black to sex up the soon-to-arrive 2012 VW Beetle--and to draw attention to a preorder program launching this year. The Beetle Black Turbo edition follows in the lineage of Porsche 911s augmented with Black editions, and the VW will sticker for $25,720, including shipping. Power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder rated at 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, which is the same as the regular turbo Beetle--and VW's hot hatch, the GTI.
