This auction is for one (1) heater control valve-used.

Taken from a 1974 Cadillac DeVille. Might be usable for other models or model years, also--check your apps before you bid. This one has numbers H25-113 and 8706  ink printed on it.

This items installs in one of the heater hoses, and shuts off flow to the heater core when the air conditioning is switched on--it keeps that heat, out of,  the inside of the vehicle. Having one of these, that works, will increase the effectiveness of your air conditioning. If it's stuck shut, it won't let hot coolant into the heater core in winter.....

Exterior condition is about average for it's age. Has some corrosion on it, but not terrible. By applying vacuum, the valve appears to work as it should, and appears to hold vacuum as it should.

Decent replacement for a missing, damaged, or severely corroded original.

No reserve.

2014 Corvette designer Kirk Bennion on resonance, legacy and the ever-evolving Vette

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

The way Kirk Bennion tells it, the Corvette is the only car that's steeped in history yet chooses to largely ignore it. Well, "ignore" is a harsh word. Let's say the Corvette "progresses past history" through the liberal use of aerodynamics, which the chief designer can't resist talking about -- first at the Autoweek Design Forum, then in our Feb.

Ferrari 575GT Zagato

Wed, 03 May 2006

Zagato recently unveiled their bespoke Ferrari 575GTZ at Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance in Italy. Zagato, based in nearby Milan, was commissioned by Japanese collector Yoshiyuki Hayashi to create a new body for his 575M in the style of the 250GTZ Berlinetta. Despite the same underpinnings as the 575M the whole car has been remodelled, striking a balance between its Fifties forebear and more contemporary Ferraris.

Fri, 25 Mar 2011

Saab's CEO Jan Ake Jonsson to retire after almost 40 years with Saab It’s been a difficult period at Saab, what with trying to survive as GM came close to closing the Swedish car maker down in the absence of a ‘suitable’ buyer, through being taken over by Spyker and then trying to replace their entire range. And it’s taken its toll on Saab boss Jan Åke Jonsson. It’s been announced that – after nearly 40 years with Saab – 59-year old Jan Åke will step down from his job in May and hand the reins over – temporarily – to Spyker’s Victor Muller until a replacement can be found.
