                                                            72 Ford F100 "Ranger XLT"

                                                                       Tailgate Panel

WOW!!!! Have you ever seen one this nice on ebay? This tailgate panel was removed from a 72 Ford F100 "Ranger XLT"

This was my first restoration of these panels. These panels are extremely RARE. In six years I have found three. As I said

"Extremely Rare" I recently listed a tailgate with a panel on it. I will soon be reconditioning that one.

This "Ranger XLT" panel was stripped down, all repairs were then done to it (It's not perfect, but these were never made perfect)

The F O R D letters were re-chromed, a couple of minor pits remain because they are original pieces to this panel and I won't

change them. The wood grain was another matter, I searched for the correct material to use. I went on various Ford truck sites

getting opinions on the grain. I met with sellers of the material until we had the correct grain. (I will not reveal any

contact information as to where to get this material).

This "Ranger XLT" Tailgate panel has not been clear - coated or re-anodized. You can search high and low and will not find one

as nice as this, unless you were to have it done professionally. And if you go that route, you'll find out what a time consuming

task it is, to find someone to do it, find the wood grain then polish this assembly. And it won't be cheap.

With all that said, feel free to call 951-306-7805 Sun-Mon 0700 to 2000 hrs P.S.T.

Shipping will be $85.00 insured for purchase price and a custom made box.

Please do not ask what my reserve is. Bid what you think it is worth. The reserve will go off if that price is reached.

2012 Honda Pilot refined inside and out

Thu, 01 Sep 2011

Boasting a slight makeover, the 2012 Honda Pilot is ready for showroom floors with a sleeker exterior, an upgraded interior and slightly better fuel efficiency, according to Honda. The Pilot's restyled front end swaps 2011's six-sided grille insert for a horizontal three-bar, chrome-style fascia and new headlights. All trim levels have acoustic windshield glass, which was previously exclusive to the EX-L and Touring models.

F1 Budget Cap – No two-tier system says Ecclestone

Sun, 17 May 2009

Bernie Ecclestone says there will be no two-tier system in the F1 budget cap row [ad#ad-1] All eyes have gone off the stunning start to this year’s F1 circus with the news that Ferrari, Renault, Red Bull and several other teams have threatened to quit F1 next year in protest at the budget cap proposal and the two-tier system that appears to create. In a nutshell, the FIA – lead by Max Mosley – has imposed a £40 million cap on F1 team expenditure for next year (excluding driver costs, marketing costs and transport), but has said that teams who don’t adhere to the cap can still compete, but will be handicapped. Not surprisingly, the richer teams have objected and, on the face of it, it starts to look as if F1 as we know it is going to bite the dust.
