For sale is the tach cable from a 1983 Honda GL1100 Goldwing.  This will fit the following models:

  • GL1100  80 thru 83 standard & Interstate / 1982 Aspencade
  • GL1000  75 thru 79 / 1976 LTD

This tach cable is in very good condition.  The cable spins freely inside the insulation.  The insulation is good with no cracking and just one tiny tear (see photo).  The inner metal insulation is all good.  Please feel free to email at any time if you have questions concerning this item.  I gladly ship worldwide. Honda delays Civic redesign

Honda's redesigned Civic will not arrive until 2011, well past the typical five-year product cadence that would have landed the next-generation subcompact in dealer showrooms this fall. Changing market conditions and tougher fuel economy and emissions regulations affected the development of the upcoming Civic, John Mendel, American Honda Motor Co.'s executive vice president, said in an interview. Mendel said the next Civic would come next year, although he declined to give a specific month.

Volvo are taking the electric C30 to the Detroit Motor Show. Volvo had a little tease about the electric version of the C30 EV (or Battery Electric Vehicle) back in September. They rolled out a bit of a ‘Wish-List’ of what they’d like it to be able to do, but there was no real car and not a huge chance it was going anywhere much.

Chrysler recalls Wrangler, Compass and Patriot

Chrysler Group said today it will recall more than 220,000 units of the Jeep Wrangler to fix a transmission flaw and 409,000 units of the Jeep Compass and Patriot worldwide to fix a software glitch that could stop airbags and seatbelts from working in a crash. The recalls add to a growing list of safety problems at Chrysler, which stunned the auto industry this week by taking the rare step of rebuffing a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. On Tuesday, Chrysler refused to recall 2.7 million units of the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-07 Jeep Liberty, claiming that the vehicles were built in compliance with safety standards and are not more accident-prone than other vehicles of the time.
