The kit also includes 4 tie down anchors with stud rings that can be mounted anywhere along the 3 foot long rails & a 1 Year Warranty. The 4 included tie down anchor stud rings are designed for secure attachment of straps, hardware or nets. The anchor stud rings are easily inserted and removed in seconds by lifting the spring loaded retainer on the stud fitting. The stud anchors are made of high alloy forged steel with stainless steel rings. This system offers a major advantage when tying down cargo because the straps are higher than the factory floor mounted anchor points for greater stability of your cargo load and they also allow you to adjust the mounting point to anywhere along the truck or trailer bed. These systems also work great when no floor mounted tuck bed anchor points are available, they are covered up or are rusted away. Survey Reveals Car Use Slump Despite Lower Petrol Prices
Thu, 10 Jul 2014USUALLY the news that petrol prices are down would be cause for celebration, but the latest AA/Populus survey reveals that car use is also on the slide. Despite more wallet-friendly prices at the pumps the situation is failing to kick-start more car use. The poll of more than 18,000 AA members, conducted in June, revealed that just 7% were more relaxed about prices at the pumps, and were using their car more than a year ago.
CAP call on Renault to include battery in Zoe price – when it would cost £25k
Fri, 05 Apr 2013CAP has called on Renault to include the battery cost in the list price of the Renault Zoe EV, otherwise it won’t be able to set residual values. We reported recently on the price of the Renault Zoe EV – which starts at £18k – and were surprised to find that Renault weren’t including battery costs in the purchase price but charging and extra £70-93 a month for leasing them. That leads to a completely misleading headline price for the Zoe and, as used car price experts CAP say, is akin to Ford removing the engine costs from their cars to reduce list price.
