84-87 Honda Goldwing Gl1200 Motorcycle Trunk Tour Pack Totally Reconditioned on 2040-parts.com

This is a freshly painted motorcycle trunk from a Honda GL1200 Goldwing, however, these trunks can very easily be adapted to most any motorcycle. I personally have installed one on a Honda VLX Deluxe 600, a Honda Spirit VT1100C and a Kawasaki Vulcan 900. These trunks give you all of the storage you will need for those longer rides. They really hold alot.

This trunk was freshly painted by 2 Keys Body Shop. The paint color is black and I think they did really decent job on the paint. There are a few pin pricks in the clear coat but they are not very noticeable at all. Look closely at the pictures - it's easy to see how brilliant the paint is on this trunk. I think it looks awesome.

There are absolutely no cracks or breaks or repairs on this trunk. It looks brand new. I have included bunches of pictures but it is really hard to do this trunk justice. The paint is vibrant and shiny. Believe me when I tell you it is a very good paint job and it looks GREAT in person.

As I said, in my opinion, it is in excellent condition, but it's your opinion that counts so please look closely at the pictures I have provided so that you can make your purchasing decision based on what you see.

Take a good look at the other trunks that are selling on eBay. I honestly don't feel that you can find anything close to the quality at the price that I am offering in this auction. Most of the trunks for sale are damaged and they are still asking hundreds of dollars for them.

Remember, most trunks you could buy from eBay listings will still require you to spend about another $150.00 or so to have it sanded, prep'd, painted and clear coated.

This one is freshly painted and will end up saving you money as it won't need any repairs and it is already painted.

The backrest has a BRAND NEW Black cover which looks great. I have included one picture that clearly shows you the New Condition of this freshly covered backrest.

You will also notice that it has a GL1800 Style Spoiler with a RED LENSE. It really looks awesome and it gives the GL1200 trunk a new dimension.

You should also notice in the pictures that a single KEY for the trunk locks is included in this auction.

The LightBar has an Aspencade Emblem and you can see from the picture, it looks GREAT. The auction also includes the wiring harness for the Lightbar. Unfortunately there are two (2) small cracks in the lightbar and I have included pictures of both. The first one is in the left Blinker area. It does NOT appear to be external as you can not detect the crack when using a finger nail. It appears to be inside. The second one is on the right side of the main lightbar and does crack the outside surface. It does appear to be water tight and it is a crack (no missing pieces).

You will also notice the LARGE Chrome plated (metal) Skull mounted on the trunk. It is actually  Bully Skull trailer hitch accessory. It looks great and once it is wired in, it looks great on the trunk with the red eyes lighting up when the bike is on.  I have one on own trunk and I get compliments everywhere I go. When I press the brake, the eyes light up.

You will have to complete the wiring as both the Spoiler light and Skull light. They are both brand new and have not yet been wired in. The wires for both of these are inside the interior vanity. I included a picture of that vanity. You should notice that there is no mirror included with the vanity. It is there simply to hold the wiring for the Spoiler and the Lighted Skull.

If you plan on mounting this on something OTHER that a Goldwing, the 'Aspencade' emblem on the lightbar can easily be removed with a long thin flat screw driver and some steady pressure. You can then buy some Chrome plated ABS Letters (plenty of them are sold on eBay) and put anything name you may want on the lightbar.

All in all, I think this is the closest thing you are going to find to a brand new trunk for a GL1200. It is totally re-conditioned, inside and out and has a 'Like New' appearance. I'm sure whoever buys this trunk will be very happy with it.

Look at the other trunks here on eBay and see what prices they are asking and the condition they are in.(Most of them are damaged) Then compare that to this one and I'm sure you will see the value.
