Tue, 19 Oct 2010 00:00:00 -0700

2011 Nissan GT-R - arrives in February 2011 (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({}); It may be that Nissan are following the Porsche 911 school of car updates by making endless changes to a car that ends up looking the same – the 2011 Nissan GT-R. But they also seem to be heading relentlessly down the 911 route in terms of model variations too. For 2011 there are two new models – the EGOIST and the Club Track edition, which we didn’t know when we first reported details of the 2011 GT-R in August.

Mercedes S400 Hybrid – and a facelift as well

Wed, 08 Apr 2009 00:00:00 -0700

Mercedes S400 Hybrid launched - and a facelift for the S Class Range [ad#ad-1] Mercedes has long held the ‘Best Luxury Car’ mantle, despite build quality issues in the early part of this century, but the competition, particularly from Audi and BMW has got stronger with each model change, so they have to keep upping their game (and the new Jaguar XJ may make them up it even further before long). So we knew it time for a facelift for the current S Class, but Mercedes has decided to link that with the launch of the first S Class Hybrid – the S400 Hybrid. The S400 Hybrid gets a 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine, which on its own delivers 279bhp, but linked to an electric motor it gets a 20bhp boost and a big jump in torque.

New Nissan Terrano is a rebadged Dacia Duster

Tue, 11 Jun 2013 00:00:00 -0700

The new Nissan Terrano (pictured) is a rebadged Dacia Duster The Dacia Duster SUV has been taking Europe by storm for several years with its combination of cheapness, ruggedness and a surprising ability to do its job. In tough economic times budget buys are a big seller, and with the Dacia Duster SUV costing from just £8995 (although you’ll need to pay more for a 4WD version) Dacia have been able to sell as many as they can build. (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});That meant the UK and Ireland having to wait for the Duster to arrive until capacity could be found in India to build RHD versions, and now it seems Nissan are about to utilise its production facilities in Chennai to turn out a new Nissan Terrano that is actually a rebadged Dacia Duster.
