BMW Z4M? Sorry, it’s the Z4 M-Sport
Sat, 19 Sep 2009BMW are testing a Z4 with an M-Sport package round the Nurburgring I suppose that at least this way you can have a Z4 that looks the part- with bigger wheels and bumpers and maybe even a suspension tweak or three – without having to bother with the big price ticket or the not inconsiderable running costs. To be fair, the Z4 sDrive35i is not particularly slow. It will manage to get to 60 mph in around 5.0 seconds; handles well and looks so much better than the Z3 did.
LaFerrari joins Supercar exhibition at Ferrari Museum in Maranello
Mon, 11 Mar 2013The new LaFerrari has joined an exhibition of supercars at Ferrari’s Maranello Museum joining cars like the 250 GTO, F40, F50 and Enzo Ferrari. Ferrari boss, Luca di Montezemolo, has opened the Supercar exhibition in Maranello to showcase Ferrari’s greatest models all in one place, an opportunity Ferraristi will find hard to resist. As well as LaFerrari, Ferrari has on show perhaps the greatest supercar in their history – the Ferrari 250 GTO – which was built in very limited numbers – just 33 Series 1 and 3 Series 2 cars – and now commands prices around the $40 million mark, the 288 GTO, the F40 – perhaps the ‘Driver’s’ choice – the F50 and, of course, the Enzo Ferrari.
Hyundai Veloster Race Game in Times Square (video)
Thu, 29 Dec 2011Hyundai Veloster Race Game in Times Square Hyundai has set up their LED screen in New York’s Times Square so passers-by can play a race game from an iPhone app. You’ve got to hand it to Hyundai – they certainly know how to raise awareness and hit the Zeitgeist. From the modern day equivalent of Lada and Yugo to a serious threat to car makers from Europe and Japan in less than a decade, it’s not just their cars that have come a long way – their PR has too.
