This is a pair of transom brackets removed from a 1975 9.9 hp Evinrude outboard. These show normal signs of use, but are in good working condition. One clamp is missing handle and backing plate as can be seen in pictures. This will work on 9.9 and 15 hp Johnson Evinrude outboard models from 1974-1976. But now it’s gone on sale. Three models are on sale – the Iceni, Iceni Magna (it’s a fastback) and Icini Venturer (a sort of estate car) all sporting a 6.6 litre diesel engine which, in standard spec, comes with 395bhp and 700lb/ft of torque.

Thu, 13 Aug 2009The fake Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake - rendered in Maya Turns out that it was all a bit of viral fun created by Jared Holstein, the outgoing editor of TopGear.com. He came up with the idea and got a bunch of Summer Interns in the States to do the donkey work. A digital design student called Matt DuVall used Maya (a digital 3D rendering programme) to create the original image (actually, I’ve been trying to master Maya for ever – must get some tips from Matt!) which incorporated lots of Porsche design themes, and even used a Porsche ‘Mule’ license plate.

The Audi CrossLane Coupe Concept – revealed at the Paris Motor Show – is the prelude to a new Audi Q2 compact SUV. It’s 4250mm long, 1900mm wide and 1500mm high, which makes the Crosslane Coupe a bit bigger than the new A3 and a bit lower than the Q3.
