Houston, Texas, United States
What you Get: Bulbs: One Pair of Morimoto XB HID Bulbs Ballasts: One Pair of Morimoto Ballasts Harness: Either an HD harness or a pair of Can-Bus Harnesses Warranty: 5-year warranty on the entire kit (With XB35 35w Ballasts) or 3-Years (with XB55 50W Ballasts) Renowned: The Morimoto Elite
Systems have earned their reputation amongst many as the aftermarket's best set
of HID's. We urge you to check out the specs below, Read the Reviews and then
ask yourself whether your ability to see well while driving at night is worth
saving a couple bucks? HID Ballasts: The all new Morimoto XB Ballasts feature relocated igniters like OEM units, putting them far closer to the HID bulb. The lack of high voltage transmitted through wiring drastically reduces EMI/RFI (radio interference). Total system reliability is also improved by shielding the main circuit board from the static produced by these high voltage bursts on start up. (not to mention they're damn good looking!) HID Bulbs: The Morimoto XB HID bulbs feature ceramic bases for precise alignment giving you a clean beam pattern. Quartz glass tubes to minimize UV output and maximize luminosity. Their Praxair (US) metal halide salts produce very accurate color temperatures in the 3K, 4K, 5K, and 6K range. Wiring: The Morimoto HD Relay Harness features an all-new completely sealed double 40A Relays, 14 gauge stranded copper wire wrapped in durable black tech-flex mesh that looks like a factory harness once installed. No cutting or splicing here: there are only five connections and they're all plug-n-play. Canbus Compatible: The optional Standalone Canbus harness substitute is recommended for European vehicles that display "bulb out" error messsages. They contain a series of capacitors and resistors to trick the car into thinking nothing has changed and help you avoid annoying lamp-out warnings on the dash. Backed Up: Let's not forget the 5-year warranty on the entire kit*. The Elite system is designed to run for 2500 hours, so that's what it's guaranteed for. Don't buy into empty promises from other shops offering BS "lifetime" warranties. No HID's will last you a lifetime, and if you think that company will be around long enough or even pick up the phone when you have a problem, guess again).[*XB55 kits have 3 year warranty]

Tesla planning self-driving car
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Tesla are planning a self-driving car Now that car makers have been fitting radar and sensors to their cars for some time, which allow stuff like adaptive cruise – which automatically slows behind traffic and can even bring the car to s stop on its own – the race is on to make cars even more autonomous. We’ve reported recently on the Mercedes Intelligent Drive S-Class that negotiated its way – more or less – on a 60 mile route in Germany, and on Volvo’s self-parking system which will take your car in to a multi storey car park by itself, park, and meet you when you return. Google has also been playing with self-driving cars and has even gained permission to run its autonomous cars in California, and now Tesla are joining the fray with plans for an autonomous car in the next three years.
